Just like the tonal exposure/training in Chinese language, music is very important in early childhood education.  It's because music ignites all areas of child development and skills for school readiness, including intellectual, social-emotional, motor, language, and overall literacy.  It helps the body and the mind work together.  

Our Dear Old Grandpa Piano was too old to produce beautiful music.  So, we ordered two new pianos.  They have arrived!

The children really enjoy the beautiful songs the pianos make during our circle time and in our music activities.

Ann Arbor Public Schools and many private schools are closed today due to the very incelment weather with freezing rain and icy roads.  We could just close our doors, because children’s safety is our top priority.  But at the same time, we also wanted to be reliable to our families and not to make the parents miss their work and struggle to find safe and quality child care for their children.  We, therefore, went to Lowe's and got a lot of salt, mulch and mats to put on the ground in our parking lot to keep everyone safe. 

Luckily, we just had a delayed opening at 10:30 AM!

Ann Arbor Observer_City Guide, 2018-2019

Last month, Ann Arbor Observer's talented writer, Sabine Bickford, contacted us for writing an article about our preschool.  Now it's on Ann Arbor City Guide (2018-2019).  

According the article, bilingual programs, like May's Bilingual Preschool, attract more and more non-immigrant families who love to leverage the benefits of foreign language learning for their children.

Ms. K Vandersypen, a retired librarian of UM, donated a piano to our preschool for our children's music education.  We are extremely grateful for her generous donation and will use it to enhance our early childhood music education in the best way possible.

Ann Arbor Dental Specialists (www.annarborkidsdentist.com) gave our children a very fun and informational lesson on preventing tooth decay.  They used some interesting dental teaching aids to demostrate the proper techniques for brushing teeth.  The children had a great time with them while gaining the very important knowledge.  

We appreciate and feel very grateful for their time and efforts!

If you have some special talents and would like to volunteer in teaching at our preschool, please contact us.  We would love to have you here.

We just bought a high quality new play system from the most famous outdoor play equipment company, GameTime.  It will be installed in our new location once the ground thaws.  We will add more play equipments to the playgound after that.

We had a Halloween party on the Halloween Day.  It was very fun.  Please check out our video at the "Video Gallery" page (www.video_gallery).

Celebrating holidays is one of the best ways to learn the cultures around the world.  Through holiday celebrations, children can get hands-on learning of the food, the words, the costumes, the decorations, etc.  And, young children do best by learning through doing and playing :-)

We celebrate many holidays.  Halloween is one of the coolest holidays of all!  Let’s promote cultural conservation by letting us immersed in the fun of holidays :-)

We have purchased a commercial building and will run a child care center in the new location soon.  We welcome new children to join our program.

This website may be the only place where we can say, “thank you,” and we really hope that this message somehow reaches you. Each day we strive to do our very best to provide the best care for our children, and your encouragement is invaluable to us. And we hope to repay you by continuing to do our very best.  We plan to use your contribution towards purchasing an iPad for use in our daily circle time. It’ll be used to display images, play songs and videos, and the children can even practice typing on it. We are certain that they will love it!
